This is very different from Fire in the head in that Sky Burial is more of a Drone Doom project with heavy noise elements mixed in. Its almost like Earth2, Sunn O))) and Black metal put to 78 rpm and then white washed through noise filters and effects. It sounds and feels like Molasses going through cheese cloth. This is something that moves uber slowwwwwwww. Then, out of nowhere, it gets very ethno ambient (whats with all the ethno music as of late???) The 2nd track almost reminds me of Troum or Sephiroth but still with very dark drone elements. Sky Burial has 2 very different parts that meld together to make a very stunning sound as a whole. Mr Page in the last 2-3 yrs has made some of the more important experimental/noise music for the world to hear. I hope he doesn't burn out too quickly as I think this is his 6 or 7th release in a year. Pace yourself please as F.I.T.H and Sky Burial need to last for yrs to come.
